For customers who will be buying a custom gobo and an image projector to go with it, there are many things to consider when purchasing a projector. Here are a few things to keep in mind when trying to determine which projection system is right for you:
- Do you plan projecting black with only or will you project colors? Especially when projecting darker colors, you may need to go one level up.
- How big do you want your image size? If you want a larger image that is projected from a shorter distance, then you'll want a system that features a wider lens so that the light is spread out over a wider area. A good example is the ECO Spot LED40D when using a D-size gobo. For large scale projection with distances up to 1500ft, the ECO Spot 2500 is the way to go.
- Is weatherproofing important? For outdoor projections, you'll want a system that is weatherproofed, such as the ECO Spot LED40E or LED80E.
- Will you be traveling with your gobo? This is especially crucial if you're a DJ, entertainer or broadcaster who might be carrying your equipment around with you on planes, trains and automobiles.
