Color glass production will not be available on Monday, Dec. 8th: the earliest estimated delivery for new color glass orders is Dec. 13th.
Dichroic filters are durable glass color filters that transmit only certain wavelengths of light, reflecting the rest of the spectrum, rather than absorbing it. Since virtually no energy is absorbed by the filter, light transmission is significantly higher than traditional gels. These filters won't fade or warp and will typically last over the lifetime of the light fixture.
