Find the best typeface for your logo

When selecting a typeface, or font, that will suit your corporate image and visual branding, it can be difficult to find one that is appropriate and unique all at once. After all, you don't want clients to see your corporate stationery or your custom gobo at live events and think that you simply scrolled through the fonts in Photoshop and picked one at random.

But finding a unique typeface is a lot harder than it sounds. There are literally thousands of options available, so searching for the perfect font can be like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles.

One solution to this problem is to use Type-Finder, a website that searches through the biggest type foundries on the internet and selects the ones that fit your criteria. You can choose whether the type is for web, print or both, and you can dictate other criteria. Need a modern typeface that is also elegant and plainspoken? Type-Finder will provide you with several options and links to sites where you can download them.

Keep in mind that, if you're designing a logo that will be used in a metal gobo, we will need to make adjustments to the letters so that they can be turned into stencils. This means adding "bridges" or "tabs" to those letters such as an O or A that have enclosed spaces in them. For glass gobos, this is not an issue.

Once your logo is designed with the right visuals and typefaces, you should contact Gobosource.com to have it turned into a custom gobo. This will take your trade show and live event appearances to another level, giving your company a professional image that will make others want to do business with you.
